Guidelines
- The purpose of this Fair is to promote quality summer programs. We expect all exhibitors to offer professional and tasteful presentations and to show respect to the other exhibitors and fair goers.
- In the event of inclement weather, please contact John Burroughs School at (314) 993-4040 for a recorded message regarding whether or not the Fair is closed.
- Bring plenty of brochures and other marketing materials. If you would like to ship materials prior to the event, we will be happy to store them at John Burroughs School after Monday, January 14, 2013. All Exhibitor materials must arrive no later than Thursday, January 24, 2013. Please note the following details: This is a different address than where you mailed your registration payment; and please remember to write your CAMP NAME and "Summer Opportunities Fair" on the outside of the package(s) to ensure deliver to the correct department. You may ship materials to the following address:
c/o John Burroughs School
755 South Price Road
St. Louis, MO 63124-1866
- No copy machines will be available on site. The FEDEX KINKO'S nearest to John Burroughs School is located at 11623 Olive Boulevard; St. Louis, MO 63141; and their phone number is 314-872-6900.
- THERE IS NO SMOKING. The three host schools, John Burroughs, MICDS, and Whitfield, are non-smoking campuses.
- No raffles, hawking, obtrusive giveaways, helium-filled balloons, confetti, food, dangerous program equipment (such as pocket knives, bull whips, ropes, etc.), or other means of attracting undue attention will not be permitted.
- No solicitations in aisles or hallways will be permitted. Please do not conduct individual or group meetings with prospective clients outside your assigned exhibit space during Fair hours.
- Exhibitors using audio equipment must keep the volume at a level that will not disturb other exhibitors.
- No coffee pots, plate warmers, or other small appliances may be used due to electrical restrictions. Coffee and hot water will be available in the hospitality room.
- THE USE OF LIVE ANIMALS IN EXHIBITS IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED. In addition, the use of balloons, sand and confetti is not permitted.
- GUNS AND OTHER CONCEALED WEAPONS ARE STRICTLY PROHIBITED.
- Exhibitors must limit their displays to their assigned spaces. Equipment and free-standing displays that extend outside their exhibition space, whether into a neighbor's space or into the aisle, are not allowed.
- Please refrain from distributing items such as small airplanes or Frisbees that might become airborne in the gym.
- Remember to bring a surge protector, masking tape, scissors, electric extension cord, projection equipment and screen, extra projection bulbs, magic markers, push pins, and whatever else you might need to prepare your exhibit.
- Please leave your children at home when working as an Exhibitor. The 10am to 3pm Fair makes for a long day, and kids tend to get restless and could disturb other Exhibitors.
- As a courtesy to neighboring booths, we ask that all camps limit the number of people staffing their booth to a maximum of three (3).
- Please do not throw away any pre-printed signs.
- Exhibitors who violate Fair guidelines will be asked to leave with no refund of registration fees or any other expenses incurred in conjunction with the Fair.
We do not anticipate any problems with our Exhibitors. We include these guidelines to ensure a good experienced for all participants - Exhibitors, guests, and volunteers. Thank you again for your careful attention to these details. This fair is run by volunteers doing their best to accommodate everyone, and your cooperation is greatly appreciated!
